Cold, drizzly miles

6 of 'em.

I realized in the middle of them that although there was ZERO sunshine while I ran -- it was cold, grey and drizzly -- taking in the fresh air and being outdoors for an hour-ish run did for me today what I needed it to... It rejuvenated me, it gave me a little bit of calm, it powered me.

Hmm. Cool, but I still need my sunshine. I'd like some right now, actually...

On runs like those I wish I had one of those cool lights at home so I could sit under it, feeling like I was at the beach/the park/wherever, and relax with a good book while warming up & recovering.

Cool light = light therapy lamp (like for SAD)

Says the lady who's in the warm LA sun right now! ;) Soak up some rays for me!

One of those lights would have been perfect -- and I used to have an old school "sun lamp"! It took forever to warm up after that run today!

I'd just like the ice to melt.

Sunshine + warmth = Happy!!!

Sunshine + cold = OK

So I guess we are all OK. :)

I'd like to continue on T's math...
and there's a little bit of relativity we have to throw into it - Minnesota/Michigan cold probably isn't the same as NJ cold.
No sunshine + cold + run = still okay
No sunshine + rain/wind/snow/ice + cold + run = beer instead

I went for an attitude adjustment run last week...I love simple fixes like that.

Now see, Dan, I really like your math.
